About us

We build the systems businesses run on. Monrovia, Liberia.

NexusCore ERP Solutions is an ERP development and consultancy firm based in Monrovia, Liberia. We build the systems businesses run on — stock, purchasing, production, sales, projects, finance and people — on secure online databases that belong to the client. We also implement, extend and integrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for businesses that already own it.

The opinion

Enterprise software is sold to the people who buy it and used by the people who did not. That is why an ERP rollout so often ends with a storekeeper keeping a notebook, a supervisor approving things by phone call, and a finance team re-keying at month end. The software is not wrong. It is simply shaped for the whole of the business at once, which means it is shaped for nobody in particular.

We think the fix is unglamorous. Build the system around the jobs people actually do — a small, plain screen per role that does that role's work and nothing else — on one database that holds the truth. And where an ERP already exists, leave it alone and build in front of it, because it is doing its job as the system of record.

The database is not an afterthought

An ERP is a database with opinions. Most of the damage we are asked to repair comes from that database being nobody's responsibility — three versions of the stock figure, no record of who changed a price, no backup anyone has tested, and a spreadsheet on somebody's laptop that turns out to be the real system.

So every system we build sits on one secure online database that belongs to the client: encrypted in transit and at rest, backed up automatically, role-based access so people see only their part, two-factor sign-in, and an audit trail. You get the source and it runs on your hosting. We would like to keep supporting it, but you are never trapped with us.

Where the licence work came from

We did not set out to be a licensing practice. It came out of the building work: once you have made someone a screen that does their whole job, the question of why they hold an $80 licence to use it answers itself. A Team Member licence is $8 and covers reading, approving, updating records, quoting and timesheets — the entire job for most people in an ERP.

It is one of our solutions, not the whole company — but it is often what pays for the rest, so we say it plainly. And we are careful how we say it, because there is a wrong version of this claim circulating — hiding users behind an application to avoid licensing them. That breaks Microsoft's multiplexing rules and it will be found. What we do is match the licence to the work, and cancel the per-user add-on subscriptions you no longer need.

How we work

  • The audit is free. If the number is not big enough to justify the work, we tell you and we stop. We would rather do that than sell you a project that does not pay for itself.
  • Fixed scope, fixed price. You approve clickable designs before production code exists, and you know the price before we start.
  • Nothing inside your ERP. We build against the published API. Your Microsoft update path stays exactly as it was.
  • The code is yours. Source, hosting, the lot. We would like to keep supporting it, but you are not locked in.
  • Built for here. We work in West Africa. Light pages, phones rather than desktops, forgiving of a dropped connection, and alerts that reach people over WhatsApp.

Where we work

We are in Monrovia, Liberia. We build ERP systems for any industry — the work has been manufacturing, distribution, engineering, projects and retail so far, but nothing about what we do is specific to those. Our reference projects are here, and they are here rather than in a brochure, which means we build for the conditions our clients actually operate in rather than for a conference demo.
